The Secret to a Peaceful and Pure Engagement

Lovebirds! As most of you know, we are passionate about creating an experience for our couples. Something engaging and full of personality is always the goal when planning + designing a wedding.

What many fail to understand is that this attitude extends to the engagement as well! Your engagement is a journey, so make it a smooth one! We desire that all couples would approach their wedding as sacred because it marks the beginning of their forever together. We don't take marriage lightly which means we don't take engagement lightly either. Couples should use their engagement to continue to date their partners, enjoy time with their families, and prepare their hearts for this huge commitment. But how can you do that if you spend all of your free time moonlighting as a wedding planner?

The secret to a peaceful engagement is to approach your wedding as more than a party. It is a sacred milestone. There are steps to take even before planning so download the Six Things to Do Before Wedding Planning list here.

Then clear the noise. Everyone is going to have advice, opinions, and well wishes. There is nothing wrong with this, but don't give them space in your head or time in your engagement. Save that for your partner and the things and people that actually matter.

Next, go to premarital counseling. This does not signal an issue in your relationship, but rather a commitment to start on the right foot! Most churches have a program and if you don't have access to that most states do as well. The one in Texas is called Twogether in Texas and when you complete it you get your marriage license fee waived.

Additionally, pour into your spouse. Engage in things that bring them joy. Learn their habits. Be the peace in their lives.

Finally, hire a Wedding Planner. We're here to make sure you have the perfect wedding so that you can ensure you have the perfect relationship. Focus on the two of you, not the logistics! Chat with us about it.
