7 Tips for Hosting a Wedding During COVID19

Hello Love Birds!

We have all been through our own struggles during this time and the wedding industry has been hit particularly hard. Couples are sick of waiting and many have chosen to move ahead at all costs. If this is you, there are some things you can do to help guests be safer. After a few events executed during this pandemic we are sharing our expert tips to help you be well!

  1. Cut your guest list down to no more than 80. 50 is ideal.

    1. This number allows a larger dance floor and well distanced tables.

    2. If you are not doing this have a designated space for the uncompromised. You can even make it a glam roped VIP area.

    3. Try an open air pavilion or tent with no sides to host the event to help air circulation and space.

  2. Require masks inside.

  3. Use 2 6’ rectangular tables pushed together lengthwise to make giant tables and create natural distance during dinner. No more than 8 people per table.

  4. Create two bars and two buffet lines to allow more distance during cocktail hour.

  5. Only set the head table and a reserved table for photos. Leave no other dinnerware out to be touched.

  6. Use stations or plated meals for dinner with disposable wares only.

  7. Create more informal seating and activity stations to give people things to do besides crowd the dance floor or the bar. Photo booth, lawn games, lounge, a teepee with chains inside, even a mask decoration station!

Most importantly, be patient. Your guests will have varying levels of comfort. Respect that. Take the time to revel in your new marriage! If you need inspiration in planning we have a few helpful blogs here. You can also check out our Instagram or Pinterest.
